KumoSport Racing Development was founded in 1999 as a supplier and retailer of import tuning parts.  We created the company to supply well-engineered parts for the latest models from Toyota and Honda.   KumoSport unites the technical knowledge and experience of its founders with unabashed automotive enthusiasm.  Experience includes: 2 Mechanical Engineering degrees, 2 years of engineering experience in CART, 10 years in the automotive engineering field, 2 national SCCA competition licenses,  plus a medical doctor license and some semi-pro baseball experience thrown in for flavor! 

The focus of our company is PERFORMANCE.  This is not the place to buy 20” chrome rims or gold emblems.  KumoSport is the place to find the parts and information you need to create the quickest MR2 Spyder, New Celica, or Civic in town. As reflected in our web site, we have made weight reduction a top priority.  Lose the weight, and you will gain performance in acceleration, braking, and cornering.  To that end, many of our products will be designed or chosen for their ounce-shaving potential.  Sometimes, this will mean not offering the fashionable items (chrome is heavy).  We never claimed to be trendy; we’re engineers!

Our company is also focused on providing customer service superior to our peers in the industry.  This starts with shipment of your order within 24 hours (except weekends and holidays).  We realize it takes some trust to modify a brand new, $25K vehicle.  Our clear installation documents provide you with the information and confidence you need to do the job right.  It is our hope, that news of our commitment to customers spreads quickly.  Our reputation will determine our success.
